Hola Mexico ----City Airport

As you all know -- last night started Day Light Savings time in the US. Well somehow this messed up Mexicana airlines. Our 8:30am flight did not end up taking off until 10:00am. Well our connecting flight to Huatulco was at 1:30pm and we landed at 1:05pm.

In the Mexico City airport you have to first go through Immigration (which had a huge line from spring breakers), then a line to the domestic terminals, and then another security check point to scan your bags, and then we had to run to Gate 2, practically the last gate. When we arrived at the gate at 1:25pm they told us that we missed it because the flight was at 1:30 pm... so it left early..

In conclusion, Ahlam (my co-worker) and I are currently in the Mexico City airport waiting 4.5 hours for the next flight to Huatulco, Mexico .. which means no beach for us at our one evening in the resort area. Tomorrow we have to wake up bright and early to drive 2.5 hrs to the refinery in Salina Cruz (no beach).

I will keep everyone updated -- hopefully we get some sunshine tonight.
